Ground roots support for the people that change lives.

I am seeking to represent our community at City Hall in order to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods, and to serve as a responsive & effective advocate for our district. Our city is full of great potential that we can tap into by working collectively.

If you work or shop at FoodMaxx, Rite Aide, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Panda Express, or requires immediate service from the Police Substation, I like to introduce myself I’m LARRY BURRUS, I develop communities. As a Real Estate Broker, Engineering and Building Contractor. I am president of the Burrus Financial Group owner of five different companies. My office, is located in the Burrus Financial Building at 2745 N. Hughes Ave. Fresno CA.

I believe effective representation come from knowing the people you are representing; my experience was developed from the life I lived in this district. The schools I attend, Parks I played in, Streets I played on, Stores I shop at, and people I worked for, people of diverse ethnic, religious, and racial background. I am aware of our unique history, our problems and strength. District #3 needs a representative in business with leadership abilities.

Modernizing and improving this district is who I am. My passion started in the 80’s with the construction of Ebenezer Community Church and 2-Way Fruit Stand. And continued with the repairs and remodeling of Our Lady of Mt. Cannel, and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. My work includes the construction of Bethel Church of God, Ephesians Community Church, repairs and remodeling of Second Baptist Church, Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, St. Rest Baptist Church, St. Joseph Baptist Church, St. Paul CME Church, Louie Kee Market, African-American Culture Museum, Kearney Market, Wayne’s Liquor and the Golden Palace Banquet Hall, formally known as Roller Town Skating Rink. I’ve built 18 units of apartments, triplex, duplex and over 40 homes on vacant lots, and repaired or remodeled hundreds of homes in this district.

Our community is where we live, play, shop and work, it is an extension of our home. The condition of
our home is a reflection of our thinking:’ It’s future is in our hands. The decision we make today, will
open doors for our children tomorrow. Let not kid ourselves. We’ve lost a lot of time and a massive
amount of money. Blighted areas, are areas deprived of it’s Resource (Money)
